Authorities Have Made A Decision In Terry Crews' Sexual Assault Case Against Agent

The actor also filed a lawsuit against Adam Venit.

Prosecutors have officially made a decision in Terry Crews' criminal complaint against William Morris Endeavor agent Adam Venit, who the actor claimed groped him at a Hollywood party.

According to TMZ, both the Los Angeles County D.A. and the Los Angeles City Attorney have ultimately decided not to file charges against Venit.

The site added that the D.A. rejected a felony filing and sent the case to the City Attorney, who determined that the case was barred by the statute of limitations, which only lasts for one year — the incident allegedly occurred in February 2016.

The D.A.'s office reportedly told the site that the case did not rise to felony level as Venit failed to make actual contact with the actor's skin when he allegedly grabbed his genitals. They claim another reason for their rejection is due to the fact that Venit did not restrain Crews during the encounter.

Crews, however, has gone on to file a civil lawsuit against Venit.
