The new Whitney Houston documentary trailer has the Internet abuzz, especially after some of the revelations that are reportedly coming from it.
Whitney was premiered at Cannes Film Festival and online, we’re getting a first look at what’s to come, as the trailer was just released. One of the biggest bombshells though centered around Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown.
During the Cannes screening, the revelation that Bobbi Kristina voiced her desire to kill her own mother and make it look like an accidental or natural death. It’s presented in the documentary as an example of the cycle of abuse that followed Whitney throughout her life, all the way until her death in 2012.
The documentary will also reportedly reveal Bobbi Kristina’s attempted suicide. “The doc reveals that Bobbi Kristina once attempted suicide while Houston was alive, cutting her arms. She apparently said she wished she could find a way to kill her mother without anyone finding out,” Amy Kaufman a reported for the Los Angeles Times wrote on Twitter.
“On the day Houston died, she made spiritual references to her bodyguard and told her assistant she needed to get right with Jesus,” she continued. “She sent the assistant to get cupcakes and when she returned 30 minutes later, Houston was face down in an overflowing bathtub.”
Social media’s reaction the rumors surrounding the documentary are rather somber.
I knew Whitney was failed by many people, but I had no idea to this extent. Devastating. Poor Whitney. https://t.co/fmBcugR4vk

(sigh) As a fan since I was 3, I loved her. So tragic what happened to her and her only child Bobbi Kristina. With today's revelation about the alleged sexual abuse, if true, makes her life even more heartbreaking

Dang. This #Whitney doc/movie sounds like it’s gonna be super intense. Childhood abuse by Dee Dee Warwick and Bobbi Kristina wanted to kill her mom after making sucidial threats. It’s gonna be real intense sitting in that movie theater.
