Dwayne Johnson's Fast and Furious spinoff is being put together as we speak. In fact, the highly anticipated film has recently cast an A-list Hollywood talent to star as its main villain.

According to Variety, Idris Elba is in final negotiations to fill the role in the movie, titled Hobbs and Shaw.

Details on the film are a bit scarce at the moment, but it is known that Deadpool 2 director David Leitch is on board with Johnson and Jason Statham set to reprise their roles.

Elba's character is described as the antagonist the two will have to face.

This news comes on the heels of Johnson's Fast and Furious cast mate Tyrese' viral tantrum where he claimed the celebrated actor was being selfish by agreeing to the project.

Hobbs and Shaw is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2019.
