Disney studios, in the eyes of many, just attempted to pull one of the biggest tricks the book without thinking the public would notice, and the gesture has proven to be bothersome to fans everywhere.
Recently, Disney premiered the third trailer for the highly anticipated animated film Wreck-It Ralph 2, and after seeing the presence of all of the popular Disney princesses in the second clip — including those of color — fans were eager to see what else they had to offer.
Before we get into the gripe that seems to be heightening by the minute, take a look at the first trailer, below, and keep an eye on Disney's first Black princess, Tiana, specifically:
While princess Tiana's appearance in the second trailer — though not as spot-on as many would have preferred — wasn't completely disappointing, to the dismay of many, her aesthetic in the third saw viewers lose all hope.
As viewers pointed out, in addition to changing her hair texture and nose shape, Disney also appeared to have lightened Tiana's complexion and thinned her nose even more.

Noticing the differences in how she is portrayed in the trailer compared to the movie that introduced her to the world, The Princess and the Frog, upset fans took to Twitter to express their outrage:
