Not Welcome: Juelz Santana Got Shut Out — Literally — Of The MTV VMAs

The rapper's legal woes are to blame.

While most celebs were putting on their Sunday's best to attend the MTV Video Music Awards, Juelz Santana had completely different plans.

The Love & Hip-Hop star couldn't attend the event due to his legal troubles.

According to The Blast, the rapper's request for permission to attend the annual awards show was denied the judge presiding over his bond and subsequent house arrest.

Earlier this year, Juelz Santana was arrested and later indicted on two Federal firearm charges after two weapons were found in his luggage at a New Jersey airport.

Santana has since been ordered to wear an ankle-monitor and get approval for any out of state trips that takes him out of New Jersey. The rapper's mother reportedly had to be accompany him to the first five shows following his arrest.

Despite being denied access to the VMAs, Juelz Santana has received some leniency. The court has reportedly allowed the rapper to participate in the upcoming season of Love & Hip-Hop: New York.
