‘The Craft’ Star Rachel True Blasts Event For Only Inviting Her White Co-stars While Completely Excluding Her

"Sounds about white."

1996 cult classic The Craft remains a staple in movie lovers' eyes for a slew of reasons. However, for many Black fans of the witchcraft-themed flick, Rachel True's sole representation for African-American viewers left a soft spot that can never be hardened.

Unfortunately, now, more than 20 years since the film's initial release, True is opening up about recently being shut out of cast press appearances, and based on her reasoning, it has everything to do with race.

In a series of tweets, the Half & Half star revealed, to the shock of her fans, that conventions have been consistently booking her white co-stars — Fairuza Balk, Robin Tunney and Neve Campbell — for anniversary appearances all while failing to reach out to her, at all.

The actress, who has an equally leading role in the film and shares just as much screen time as her three co-stars, expressed that she is tired of being overlooked.

"I think it's interesting these conventions are booking Neve, Fairuza &, Robin all together, but excluding me," she wrote. "Sounds about white... Kinda like the press junkets back in the day for the film."

  • The actress reassured her followers that her gripe solely stands with the convention organizers and not her cast members. In fact, she highlighted Balk for having her back in the ordeal.

  • She went on to further expound on why she has grown weary of the macro-aggressions she's had to stomach for her more than two decade-long career in Hollywood.

"I'm f****ng tired as f**k some days," she wrote.

  • True even posted a response from one of the conventions in question, which disgustingly chastised her for speaking up about the issue by doing exactly what she faulted them of doing in the first place.

  • While these racist — as proven by both True and her co-star — conventions continue to prove their intentions by excluding the actress from their events, one major group who is fully rooting for her success is the social media community, widely comprised of fans of her performance.

See how they came to her defense, below:

  • The actress said that she has decided to take a break from acting and, instead, will focus on her new book.
