Here's What Taylor Swift Has to Say About Being Exposed by Kim Kardashian

She released a statement refuting a few things.

The Kanye West and Taylor Swift saga has had many twists and turns since its inception.

Ye’s pretty much played the part of villain in the ongoing feud between the two ever since he interrupted during the MTV Video Music Award acceptance speech of the country singer in 2009.

It seemed like she was the victim of their most recent bout as well. Yeezy called Swift “that b***h” on his controversial track “Famous” from The Life Of Pablo. He also inferred that he “might have sex” with the 26-year-old, which also got him in trouble. Well now, for perhaps the first time in this longtime back-and-forth, Kanye may be the one in the right.

Last night (July 17), Kim Kardashian through a series Snapchat videos, posted the phone conversation West claims he had with Swift. During it, you can hear her give consent to him using her name in the song and even going further, calling the part with the line about sex “a compliment.”

“I know, I mean it’s like a compliment, kind of,” she said after Kanye read her the line and then told her it was cool to have in the song. “That’s sweet,” she continued. “Um, yeah, I mean go with whatever line you think is better. It’s obviously very tongue-in-cheek either way. … And I really appreciate you telling me about it. That's really nice."

What wasn’t read aloud to her was the part where West called her a “b***h.” And that’s where Taylor pounced after the internet was having a field day. Taking to Instagram early this morning, she posted a screenshot of a note she wrote in response to Kim unearthing the phone conversation and claimed she didn’t give consent to all of it.

“Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me ‘that b***h’ in his song? It doesn’t exist because it never happened,” the note read. "You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that b***h’ in front of the entire world. … He promised to play the song for me, but he never did. While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on the phone call, you cannot ‘approve’ a song you haven’t heard.”

Kanye West has yet to respond to the claim he was supposed to play Taylor Swift the song in full. No mention of that was relayed through Kim K’s Snapchat. Was that a part of the conversation? Does Kim have any more she’d like to share that would be helpful?
