Florida rap VIP and autotune genie T-Pain got mushy on the fans and in the name of his wife, Amber Najm, on Tuesday (April 10) via a lengthy love letter celebrating their hater-proof, everlasting, selfless love.

But, things took a sharp turn in those heartfelt paragraphs when he sent a presumably joking warning to her about what would happen if someone else were to come in between their tight-knit matrimony.

The Nappy Boys Entertainment leader started off by reminding her of just how much love he still has for her after all these years.

“You’ve dealt with so much bullsh** from me and came out of it a new woman with new goals and I can’t believe how dope you are,” he gushed. “You are a gift from god and I can confirm this from many different angles and proofs.”

Pain rubbed a few fans the wrong way, however, when he segued into controversial territory with his next statement regarding just how fatally strong his affection is for her.

“If I catch you with another n**ga I’m gonna kill both of y’all with a deadly weapon for sure I’ll leave you for last because I’m a f**kin gentleman.”

A stockpile of comments racked up beneath the photo informing him of how problematic a statement like that, even if only joking, could be. On the other end of the controversy, some fans told his critics to lighten up.

“Yo please don’t joke about stuff like that when 50% of murdered women are killed by their romantic partners, just say you appreciate her and go,” one comment read. Another praised him for the message, declaring that “nobody gets to have an ugly opinion on true love.”

On the brighter side, we’re glad to see the couple still going strong after so many years.
