Fans fear that Kanye West is pulling his fellow Chicago-native and hip-hop wunderkind Chance the Rapper down into the sunken place right along with him after Yeezy’s hailstorm of pro-Donald Trump tweets yesterday.
Chance arrived at the Twitter turmoil, further ignited by photos of Kanye’s “Make America Great Again” hat hand-signed by Trump himself, a little late on Wednesday (April 25). A tweet that was a little off-centered for the conversation at hand led fans to believe he was defending Kanye’s “free-thinking” support of the white supremacist White House occupant, especially after his claim to Hot 97’s Ebro Darden.
“Talked to him two days ago,” he responded when asked whether he’s spoken to the GOOD Music lead. “He’s in a great space and not affected by folk tryna question his mental or physical health.”
The “No Problem” artist even added that he’s in the same exact frame of mind as his celebrated 2015 VMAs White House hopeful speech.
But the fans aren’t buying one bit of it, and here’s the reality check they’ve drawn up for Chance below:
Talked to him two days ago. He’s in a great space and not affected by folk tryna question his mental or physical health. Same Ye from the Vmas, same Ye from the telethon. https://t.co/2zY3KpllV2— Chance The Rapper (@chancetherapper) April 25, 2018
