Philly rap idol Meek Mill has been making his prison reform advocacy rounds across hip-hop and politic circles alike, a noble cause he dedicated himself to after his widely celebrated prison release in late April.
He’s not leaving any political grounds uncovered either, including those belonging to the White House after reports from TMZ held that Meek would be paying a visit to the Donald Trump-occupied presidential residency on Friday (May 18). However, the MMG rap star decided that it wasn’t such a good idea after all, new reports claim, and opted not to show up for a prison reform summit.
Those same sources also reported that it was New York rap mogul Jay-Z who caused his change of heart, a claim that’s now being debunked after Meek reportedly chose not to go based off of his conversations with ‘several people'
Judging by the internet’s response to the previous rumors, we’re now left to wonder if maybe his fans were some of those folks he might have consulted with, too…
