Keri Hilson Goes TF Off On Black Non-Voters: 'You Stand For NOTHING'

"You’re entitled to your opinion, but you’re not entitled to my respect."

R&B singer Keri Hilson is going hard with her support for Georgian Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams on Election Day for Tuesday (November 6), but even harder on Black folks who opted to stay away from the polls.

Taking first to Twitter, then Instagram, the Atlanta-raised singer slammed anyone that chooses to make the conscious decision not to vote. “I despise your inaction,”she wrote. “I don’t respect your excuses, and I don’t hear your complaints. You stand for NOTHING.”

She reminded everyone of the historical impact of voting, expressing all the verbal, social and physical violence that our Black ancestors suffered through to pass down our rights to check off the ballots. ‪”PERIOD,” she continued. “I ain’t goin back & forth with you. You’re entitled to your opinion, but you’re not entitled to my respect. You really think they put their LIVES on the line for us to choose INACTION? Have several seats next to the other lazy #fakewolk folk.”

While some stood just as firmly with Keri behind her sentiments, others weren’t so moved by her condemnation.

See her Election Day testament and what the internet had to say about it below.
