Cuba Gooding Jr. continues his trend of starring in important films with Life of a King. The Oscar-winning actor, who won accolades for his roles in Red Tails and Lee Daniels' The Butler, plays a former convict determined to give inner-city kids the opportunities he never had. 
By forming the Big Chair Chess Club, Gooding's character, Eugene Brown, works hard to get kids off the street and toward lives they never believed they were capable of due to their circumstances.
