According to Billboard, it has been confirmed that Big Sean's third studio album, Dark Sky Paradise, will be released on Feb. 24, 2015.
The G.O.O.D. Music star revealed the LP's cover art on his Facebook page and has since started a domino effect of famous supporters who have followed suit including girlfriend Ariana Grande.
Big Sean seems to have something huge in the works. To give fans a taste of what's to come, the rapper mysteriously released what appears to be the cover art and title of his upcoming LP, a follow-up to his surprise four-track project from last September, led by the song "Paradise."
Dropping the bomb on his Facebook page, Sean posted a gif of the possible album title, Dark Sky Paradise, with a lightning bolt flashing at the center of a gloomy weather setting.
The "IDFWU" rapper's social network went into a frenzy, especially as the image also appeared on the Instagram pages of Drake, Ariana Grande, Jhené Aiko, E-40, DJ Mustard, DJ Khaled, Travi$ Scott and others.
No word yet if these are confirmed collaborators, or if they're otherwise in cahoots with Sean. However, it is only the latest musical clue about what he has in store. According to GQ, "Happy" maestro Pharrell told an assistant to "send [Big] Sean an email and tell him he's got a missile coming," before calling the rapper himself and saying, "It's not what we talked about, man. But it's haaaaard. It's like ghost-of-Shaka-Zulu hard!"
Though no concrete album release date has been set, it's almost guaranteed that the project is coming soon. Proving just this, Roc Nation, which signed Big Sean to a huge management deal last year, tweeted the cover art with the comment, "Stay tuned."
