100-Word Review: Iggy Azalea's 'Azillion'

Spoiler alert: This song isn't very good.

Published January 10, 2016

If there is one word to describe Iggy Azalea’s latest single “Azillion” it’s spastic.

Iggy dropped the song last night (January 9th), calling it a “Buzz Track…4 My Ratz.” What does that even mean? The song pulls a bait and switch from super fast to a beat drop that sounds like it got shot by a Codeine Cowboy. None of this is complimentary, by the way.

For an artist who has been badgered into accepting her pop station, “Azillion” is certainly not a declaration of acceptance. It’s beating into our skulls, “No, guys! I will not let YOU or Papa John keep me down! I’m gonna keep rapping a million, a billion, a zillion.” Whatever. This review went over 100 words, but there was a lot to cover.

Check out the track for yourself here.
