[Video] Brooklyn Teen Dies After Brutal Beating

The 17-year-old girl was attacked while her little brother watched.

A walk to the store with her little brother changed everything when Ta’Jae Warner was brutally beaten by a group of teens.

The 17-year-old was declared brain dead on Sunday night after the attack on Friday night outside Ocean Towers in the Coney Island neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Warner’s 11-year-old brother was with her at the time.

Warner, a sophomore at William E. Grady High School, was said to be “very kind-hearted, loving, outgoing.” She was kept on life support for organ donation and to give family a chance to bid her farewell.

Thus far, Sarina Agard-Ford has been the only person accused of beating Ta’Jae, reportedly hitting her in the head until she lost consciousness. The 18-year-old is being charged with felony and misdemeanor assault, with prosecutors aiming for more serious charges against her.

A call for the community to step forward with any additional information was made by community activist Tony Herbert, who said in a Facebook video post, “A 17-year-old girl was attacked by people who looked just like her, you know. Black lives matter.”
