People Dragged This Twitter Troll For Trying To Explain Martin Luther King Jr.'s Legacy To His Daughter, Bernice
"Congratulations. You have earned your spot in the dictionary under White Foolishness."
Another day, another white person trying to explain how the civil rights icons of the past would be ashamed of the protests occurring today. This time, a man (or bot) on Twitter tried, and we mean tried, to explain the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. to his very own daughter Bernice.
Bernice King, daughter of Martin Luther and Coretta Scott King, has followed in her father's footsteps in standing up against injustice
In response to the negative reactions NFL players have received for kneeling, Bernice tweeted about how her father's methods were disliked at the time
Then a poor soul named Robert gave the whitesplainiest whitesplanation in the history of whitesplaining
And everyone was like, hold up
People immediately jumped on 'robert' for trying to come for Bernice
Some pointed out the account may not belong to an actual person
Regardless, the tweet and whoever – or whatever – sent it is foolish
