Usually when someone accuses you of being racist, and it’s not true, you reply, “I am not racist.”
Donald Trump, confronted with his past racist comments seems to continually reply that he is one of the “least racist” people out there.
On Sunday (January 14), the president, after it was revealed that he reportedly called Haiti, El Salvador and numerous countries in Africa “shithole” nations, briefly spoke with a pool of reporters and transcripts released by White House show The Donald’s attempts at proving he’s not racist.
He called the charges of racism against him unfair and said, “I am the least racist person you have ever interviewed, that I can tell you.”
Well, this latest news, of course, went viral and Twitter let him have it. See some of the best and most accurate response to Trump’s claims he isn’t racist below.
I don’t know who the least #racist person on earth is, but I guarantee you they never have to tell people they aren’t racist— Johnny (@johnnyjmoney_) January 15, 2018
.@realDonaldTrump just repeated his favorite line about his overt racism: "I am the least racist person you've ever met." Again, this is different than saying "I'm not a racist". It's saying, "I know you've met worse racists than me."— Hamilton Electors (@HamiltonElector) January 15, 2018
Q: What is your response to people who say you are a racist?— Brian J. Karem (@BrianKarem) January 15, 2018
Trump: “No No I’m not a racist. I am the least racist person you have ever interviewed. That I can tell you.” - - in that case MR. President - why hold DACA hostage? Pass it first with no conditions. @realDonaldTrump
Trump: 'I am the least racist person you have ever interviewed'...That is 100% true assuming you only have interviewed David Duke and Steve Bannon— (((DeanObeidallah))) (@DeanObeidallah) January 15, 2018
People who are the "least racist people in the world" don't tell others that they are not racist. Instead, they apologize when they make remarks that are perceived to be racist, whether they were intended to be such or not. Non-racists apologize. They don't make excuses Mr. Trump— Ed Krassenstein (@EdKrassen) January 15, 2018
Saying you are "least racist" is admitting you are racist and that you know a lot more racists people. Sometimes when you trying to lie, you tell on yourself. Someone not racist would never say "least racist" https://t.co/Hdc98DjSKt— Robert Littal (@BSO) January 15, 2018
Whose political rise was built on the lie that the nation’s first black president was born in Kenya? (Hint: He’s “the least racist person in the world.”)— James Patrick Stuart (@japastu) January 15, 2018
