Cameras Catch Barack Obama Celebrate Father’s Day On A Luxurious French Vacation With Michelle, Sasha And Malia
This year for Father’s Day, former President Barack Obama decided to spend it on a beautiful French vacation with his three favorite women.
Now that Sasha, 18, has graduated from high school, the entire family took a week-long vacation that kicked off with a trip to the historical city of Avignon, France. On Saturday afternoon, Malia, 20, and her sister were seen doing some shopping and sightseeing in the city with two of their friends at the L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue Market.
The next day, Malia, Barack and Michelle were photographed during a tour of the historic Palais des Papes, an extravagant gothic palace built by popes in the 1300s.
Later on in the evening, the entire family joined Barack at La Mirande, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Avignon for a Father’s Day private dinner with friends.
Also on Sunday, Michelle posted a touching tribute to Barack on Instagram and Twitter accompanied by a throwback photo of him and their daughters.
“Pretty grateful for this guy. Happy Father’s Day!" read Mrs. Obama’s short and sweet caption to her husband.
According to Le Parisien, the Obama family is staying at the Le Mas des Poiriers, a luxurious 18th-century farmhouse on Bathelasse Island that sits on 65 acres of land.
The family was most recently seen together celebrating Sasha during her graduation from the prestigious Sidwell Friends in Washington, D.C., last week.
