Meghan McCain Talks Over Presidential Candidate Cory Booker On ‘The View’

More drama from the late Arizona senator’s daughter.

Lately, The View has made headlines for it’s sparring co-hosts and emotional meltdowns by convervative Meghan McCain who often overtalks her fellow panelists and guests. The live broadcast on Wednesday, October 30 was no different.

Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Cory Booker bravely visited the table next to Whoopi Goldberg, Abby Huntsman, Sunny Hostin and Meghan McCain to talk his vision for the future.

Not long after sitting down, the New Jersey Senator was grilled by resident republican McCain about gun control, often interrupting him when he attempted to explain his view.

The 35-year-old began asking Senator Booker about mandatory gun buybacks, spewing, “You do support mandatory gun buybacks, now when I heard you and Beto [O’Rourke] saying that, to me that is like a left-wing fever dream.”

She continued, “And I want to know how you think you and Beto are going to go into red states, and go to my brother’s house and get his AR-15s, because let me tell you, he’s not giving it back.”

While Booker tried to reply, saying, “I’m not where Beto is in the way he’s been talking about this,” when he was swiftly interrupted by McCain.

“Good, because he’s crazy,” she said.

Booker explained how powerful words are, “Well, again, we should watch the way we talk about each other, seriously, we can’t tear at the character of people down. We have different beliefs…” when McCain, again, interjected.

“He has no problem doing it to me. I mean, he was very nasty to me about this.”

Her sparring continued when it came to the right to bear arms.

“And the way he [Beto] talked about me inciting violence on this, I take very seriously, and I speak for a lot of red state Americans, whether he likes it or you like it or not, there’s a lot of Republicans you’re going to have to win over,” she declared.

Booker began to explain how he respects her point of view, when McCain barged in again, claiming she also respects him as a politician.

The right-winger continued to interrupt Booker at least three more times before Goldberg interjected to cut to a commercial break.

Goldberg promised to continue the conversation after the brief break when McCain’s pity party turned towards Goldberg, dismissively saying, “No we’re not, it’s fine.”

Check out the cringeworthy exchange below:

  • Just yesterday, Twitter was ablaze when Whoopi Goldberg, who has moderated the daytime panel talk show since 2007, checked McCain on camera.

When the conversation started to get heated between Joy Behar and McCain, Goldberg asked everyone to “just take a breath,” because the ladies began to talk over each other.

“Well, it’s The View,” McCain argued.

“It is The View. You know what, let me tell you something about The View,” Goldberg replied as she shifted in her seat. “This show has always had the ability to have different points of view, which we respect around the table. And when we talk to each other, we also exhibit respect. So when I’m saying to you, ‘Hold up, because we’re not hearing each other,’ I’m not trying to cut you off — I’m trying to get you heard.”
