Rams Player Calls Michael Sam Doc "Potential Distraction" - The announcement that the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) is producing a documentary about Michael Sam, the NFL’s first openly-gay player, isn’t sitting well with at least one of his St. Louis Rams teammates. "It's an interesting case that he gets to work with Oprah and have his own show, but I think it does raise eyebrows and it may be somewhat of a distraction," a Rams player speaking under the condition of anonymity told ESPN.
