School Visit - The First Ladies pose with students at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in D.C. Students at the arts school performed modern and classic selections by several American artists, including George Gershwin, Duke Ellington and Billy Joel. One group also performed a ballet choreographed to a piece by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev. "Never be intimidated by the world," Obama said. "Get out of this country because there's just a wonderful opportunity for personal growth and community growth."

More Bilateral Meetings - The president continued meeting with leaders at the G-20 Summit on Sunday. He met with the president of Indonesia, where he expressed his wish to finally visit the nation as president (he’s had to cancel two planned trips there). The president released a statement praising the political icon after his passing: “ He scaled the summit of power, but his mind never strayed from the people of his beloved West Virginia….He held the deepest respect of members of both parties, and he was generous with his time and advice, something I appreciated greatly as a young senator.” Obama is expected to attend the funeral services.

Chefs Move! - On Friday afternoon, hundreds of chefs involved with the "Chefs Move to Schools" program will join Mrs. Obama for a ceremony on the White House’s South Lawn. The program will pair chefs with schools in their communities to create healthy meals that also fit the schools' budgets. Together, they will also teach students about nutrition.

Michelle Obama to Speak at NAACP - It was announced last week that the First Lady will speak at this year’s NAACP Convention in Kansas City in July. The NAACP had invited President Barack Obama to address the convention, which will be held July 10-15. But the president will be in Kansas City on July 8 — two days before the convention — for a fundraiser for Democratic Senate candidate Robin Carnahan.
