Retro Gaze - Fall is here and it’s time to add some edge to that soft bronze you’ve been sporting all summer. They say that the eyes are the window to the soul, but they’re also blinking billboards of style. This season’s lids are fierce, sparkly and distinctly reminiscent of that decade that refuses to die, the ‘80s.

Untamed Essence - Rihanna’s spread in Vogue Italia is the perfect example of the edginess that eyes are serving up this season. Paired with a muted lip, Rihanna’s distinct cat eye pulls all of the attention toward her enchanting stare. This look is perfect for a night out on the town sans the beau.

Get the Look, $34 - The key to a sexy smoky eye is proper blending. To avoid nasty eye shadow creasing, start with a nice eye primer or sweep of concealer. For your accent color, which should be swept across the crease of the eye, only use neutral, earthy colors. Try Smashbox’s Eyelights. This eye shadow trio has color-coordinated mega-watt shades that can be applied wet or dry.

The Silver Lining - The subtle silver eyeliner on the bottom of Bey’s lids adds just the right amount of pizzazz to this otherwise plain look. Spruce up a warm-hued lid by lining the bottom lid with a funky metallic color to make your eyes pop. A set of lashes and several coats of mascara will add the finishing touch.

Get the Look, $17 - This look can be as tame or as wild as you desire. We suggest lining your bottom lid with Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in Lust (Deep purple) for a sassier upgrade to Bey’s look, which can be created with Gun Metal<.i> (silver).
