E-40 Ranks His Top 10 Albums - It's a rare treat when an artist gets to look back on an illustrious career and let fans know if they really think their last project was their best (for the record, Jay Z lists his last at No. 6 of 12). E-40 is one of those who can do that. He's remained atop his throne as the king of the Bay Area for a couple of decades now, and has released 20 studio albums, a couple collaboration projects and even some EPs along the way. With a catalogue that massive, we had to keep it short, but in an exclusive convo with BET.com, 40 Fonzarelli ranks his top 10 albums. 10. Breakin' News (2003) - With features from the Clipse, DJ Quik and Lil Jon, E-40 offered fans a well-rounded effort on 2003's Breakin' News. "It was real lyrical, that's the main thing that stood out to me about that one," recalled 40. "I flipped a bunch of different styles on there. One song in particular that's always stood out to me was 'That's a Good Look 4 U.'"(Photo: Jive Records)

8. Grit & Grind: The Ballatician (2002) - With the help of one of his favorite producers, E-40 crafted one of the most versatile albums of his career with 2002's Grit & Grind. "It was a transition into the new millennium. I had Rick Rock beats and the styles that I was flippin' on there were quite impressive," remembered 40. "That one had that song, 'The Slap.' I coined that word and can't nobody say I didn't."(Photo: Jive Records)

7. Federal (1993) - Before Kendrick Lamar was even in kindergarten, Earl Stevens had plenty of hustlers thinking rational with his debut LP, Federal. "It was my first full-length solo album and it was just young E-40. Period," said the Sick Wid It Records CEO.(Photo: Jive Records)
