Rita Ora on Wonderland - The British pop star gets candid about splitting from ex Calvin Harris (current boyfriend of Taylor Swift) last June. “At the time… I just wanted to crawl in my bed and die. But I got out of it on the other side, I’m surviving,” she tells the magazine, adding that the two collaborated on her forthcoming album. “I kind of saw the light at the end of the tunnel and I just wanted to change the vibe of the whole album. It was initially a really lovey-dovey album because that’s where I was, but then I obviously didn’t feel like that.” (Photo: Wonderland Magazine, January 2016)

Rita Ora - The “Poison” singer is back and talking relationships with Elle, and shares some good advice about being mindful of the company you keep. “I’m telling you, man, it’s all about the people you have around you,” she says. “If people give you yeses and yeses and yeses, then you’re already screwed, in my opinion. You need them to constantly say ‘What are you doing?’ Those are the people I keep close.” (Photo: Elle Canada via Instagram)

Serena Williams on Sports Illustrated - The magazine crowns Williams as the Sportsperson of the Year — and it's surely deserved. “Everyone always asked, ‘What was your greatest moment in tennis?’ and I always said it hasn’t happened… But I think it has happened now, and that was going back to Indian Wells and playing,” she tells the magazine. In 2001, the tennis phenom was memorably booed there and her family says she was showered with racial slurs from the crowd. “It released a lot of feelings that I didn’t even know I had. I was really surprised at how emotional I got — and how relieved I felt after everything was said and done.” (Photo: Sports Illustrated, December 2015)

Tinashe on Dazed - The rising star explains to the mag why she doesn’t feel the need to censor herself as an artist. “I feel like I can inspire people in other ways. I don’t feel the need to be super-conservative in my choices or be a typical ‘role model.’ I think I can influence girls to be independent — how to make their own decisions, how to go after their goals and not just sit around waiting to get married to someone who can help build their careers. Take control as a woman: you can create that lifestyle for yourself!” (Photo: Dazed Magazine, January 2016)
