Brett Favre To Meet With NFL - Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre will meet with the NFL as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations that the 41-year-old sent nude photos and voicemails to women. Commission Roger Goodell will be included in the meeting this week with Favre.

Jackson Injured In Eagles Victory - Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson suffered a concussion after a violent head-on collision with Atlanta Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson. He’s expected to miss this Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans.

Phillies-Giants Even Up Series - The Philadelphia Phillies will head to San Francisco with the National League Championship Series tied at 1-1 following a 6-1 victory in Game 2. Roy Oswalt pitched eight innings, striking out nine, and Jimmy Rollins knocked in four runs for the defending National League champs.

Arenas Fined $50,000 - The Washington Wizards fined Gilbert Arenas $50,000 for faking a knee injury last week in an exhibition game in order to get his teammate more playing time. "I screwed up again, so I just want to say sorry," Arenas said. "I wasn't really thinking that this was going to be another media outburst."

Eric LeGrand Paralyzed - Rutgers junior defensive tackle Eric LeGrand is paralyzed below the neck after suffering a spinal-cord injury in Saturday’s 23-20 victory over Army. LeGrand is in intensive care and will remain there for at least the near future. He had emergency surgery to stabilize his spine at Hackensack University Medical Center.

Shannon Briggs Injured - Shannon Briggs will remain in a German hospital after injuries suffered in a fight against Vitali Klitschko. Rumors on the Internet said Briggs had suffered severe head injuries, but he’s being treated for a left arm injury that he suffered in the first round.

Big Ben Returns - Following a four-game suspension, Ben Roethlisberger returned to the Pittsburgh Steelers, throwing three touchdowns in a 28-10 win over the Cleveland Browns. With the return of “Big Ben,” the Steelers appear to be the favorites in the AFC along with the New York Jets.
