The National AIDS Memorial Quilt: Connecting Panels of Hope and Healing - The National AIDS Memorial Quilt is the largest ongoing community arts project in the world containing more than 44,000 colorful panels memorializing the life of persons lost to AIDS.Here, a panel of the quilt is dedicated to African-American tennis legend Arthur Ashe, who died from AIDS-related pneumonia in 1993.
