"Got them drops... holla at me" - Waka Flocka Flame may have been the highlight of the 2014 American Music Awards and he wasn't even on the show. The Atlanta MC popped up, of all places, on a 30-second commercial promoting Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops. Jaws dropped as he plugged, "Can't live without my Pine Bros., straight up... So next time you need some throat release... for whatever reason [vaporizing blowing in background]... Take your Pine Bros." That was an odd pairing to say the least but it proved quite effective because we're talking about it. As Waka shakes things up on Madison Avenue, let's take a look at a few other products endorsed by hip hop stars that made you say, "Hunh?!"-Michael Harris (@IceBlueVa)(Photo: Pine Brothers)

Salt-N-Pepa - Salt-N-Pepa threw back on the custom leathers for the new GEICO campaign. With Spinderella holding down the turntables, the commerical features the ladies bringing the headphones experience to life as they pop up on the football field, in a delivery room, and even as a man mows his lawn to perform "Push It" while the announcer reads, "If You're Salt-N-Pepa, you tell people to 'Push It.' That's what you do. If you want to save 15% or more on car insurance, you switch to GEICO." Not bad for an insurance ad.(Photo: Geico Insurance via YouTube)

Bun B - Bun B flashed his pearly whites this year for a toothpaste commercial. Not the first product you’d expect to see an MC getting behind, the UGK rapper promoted the teeth whitening brand Rembrandt. Appearing in their “Smile To Stand Out” campaign, Bun spoke, “I’m proud of who I am. Most of the guys that I work with, their teeth are golden. My smile is unique and intoxicating.”(Photo: Rembrandt)

Warren G - The check must have been really good back in 2011 when Warren G shot a commercial spot endorsing erectile dysfunction pills. As Warren sits in a bed with a few ladies, he tells a sad joker who came up limp, "I tried to tell ya to take your Affirm XL but you didn’t want to listen. As you can see, I take my Affirm XL and now I got to regulate." (Photo: Affirm XL)

Memphis Bleek - We all know know that Marcy breeds hustlers but in 2010 Memhis Bleek showed and proved he could sell water to a well when he appeared in the Garnier Fructis shampoo commercial. Who knew Bleek was about that life when it came to his shampoos. His endorsement bars included, "You know my lady got…that silky smooth/ You know just how I do/ You can run my fingers through/ Garnier super strong all day, it replenish your glow/ It turn that dull into soft/ so girl tell frizz to get lost."
