He told PEOPLE magazine that there are "two sides to every story...If you are on his side, you are on his side. Not Guilty Plea - Not guilty. That's the plea Chris Brown entered Monday on charges of beating and threatening his girlfriend, Rihanna. Brown is charged with assault and with threatening to kill Rihanna during an altercation the night before the Grammys in February. If convicted, he could be sentenced to probation or to as many as five years in prison.

After failing to strike a plea deal prior to the arraignment on Monday, April 6, Chris Brown pled “Not Guilty” to two felony counts: assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury and making criminal threats.

He's Out - Meanwhile, Brown has taken his name off the shortlist for Nickelodeon's popular Kids' Choice Awards scheduled for March 28, after his nomination for favorite male singer and song sparked a controversy. Thousands of parents signed a petition calling on Nickelodeon to toss him out after his alleged attack last month on pop star Rihanna for which he now faces assault charges. Nickelodeon said it respects Brown's decision.
