Do Be Mindful of People’s Money - If you’re ballin’, that’s great, but not everyone else is. So think twice before you decide to pop bottles and expect everyone to split the check evenly. While it may be uncomfortable, keep it real with your crew and ask them how much they are trying to spend so that people can decide if they want to partake or sit out. Don’t Invite Folks Who Live for Drama - The best part of girls’ night out is having a blast, not pulling your girl off of someone else because she thinks they were looking at her funny. No one has time for that. Stick to partying with the friends that will keep you out of trouble. (Photo: Masterfile Productions/Corbis)

Do Ask Your Friends What They Want to Do  - Yes, you may be appointed the one in charge, but that doesn't mean it’s all about you. Ask your girls for ideas of what they want to do or if they know of a cool, new place or venue they want to try out. (Photo: Jose Luis Pelaez Inc/Blend Images/Corbis)

Reward Yourself - If you wake up in the morning without pressing snooze at least once, reward yourself! With the extra five or ten minutes, allow yourself the time to actually sit down. Read the newspaper, a few pages from your favorite magazine or enjoy a cup of coffee. Doesn’t it feel good to take a minute to just breathe and relax as opposed to racing out the door? Do Your Research - Tired of the same ol’ spot you ladies always go to? Then get online and research what’s new and poppin’ in your area. Also, look for free events, specials, happy hours and other money-saving events that are high on fun, but low on cost. (Photo: Sonja Pacho/Corbis)

Do Plan Something That Isn’t Too Far for Folks to Get To - Try picking a place in a neutral spot that isn’t too far for everyone. If you are going to have something closer to your place, offer to host your friend for the night, so they don’t have to travel far to return home in the wee hours of the night. Don’t Think You Have to Go Out - If y’all are not the club or bar type, that’s fine too. Girls Night Out could be a potluck and wine night that someone hosts at their place. You can catch up, do makeovers, play Cards Against Humanity or watch Netflix. Remember: This is about quality time and bonding, regardless of where it goes down. Don’t Wait to the Last Minute  - You’re not the only person with a busy schedule and stuff to do, so be mindful and make sure that you plan your night out as far ahead of time as possible to give moms, students and yourself enough time to make the necessary arrangements. Don’t Invite Significant Others - The whole point of a girls’ night out is for the girls to get together. So, be clear that while you love you girl’s bae, he/she cannot come. Sorry. This is all about the friends cutting loose and basking in the glow of friendship. (Photo: Peathegee Inc/Getty Images)
