Before the series, DeShawn called Lebron "overrated" and LeBron said that actually responding to such a jibe would be like Jay-Z responding to a diss from Soulja Boy.

Cruel Prank - Someone from the Manhattan offices of a police union reportedly prank called the family of Sean Bell's fiancée, Nicole Paultre Bell. Her father said, "The guy was taunting us, laughing. It was horrible because we had just come back from the court and the cemetery." The NYPD's Internal Affairs Bureau is investigating.

Busted! - Talk about hard times, “CSI” star Gary Dourdan looks like he’s going through it. The actor was arrested in Palm Springs this week on suspicion of possessing heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and prescription drugs. Authorities say the actor was asleep in his car at 5:21 a.m. when they made the bust.

Divorce Court - “What’cha talkin’ ’bout Gary? Divorce already? The 40-year-old Gary Coleman and his 22-year-old wife, Shannon Price, are headed toward splitsville after being married only one year. The two will be appearing on the nationally syndicated show “Divorce Court” Thursday and Friday.

Coming to TV - Get ready for a lot of "How yoooou doooin’." Nationally syndicated radio talk-show host Wendy Williams is rolling out a daily, one-hour talk show on FOX affiliates. “The Wendy Williams Show” will be tested in Los Angeles, Detroit, New York and Dallas starting the week of July 14, for six-weeks.

$1.3 Million - A judge ordered Chaka Khan to shell out $1.3 million to the family of a teen killed in her home by her son, Damien Holland. Holland, 29, was acquitted of 17-year-old Christopher Bailey’s murder after a 2006 trial, but the teen’s parents filed suit against Chaka, Holland, Chaka’s mother and the singer’s company.

Paternity - A South Carolina judge is ordering a paternity test for the 6-year-old son of the woman who says she's Brown's widow. The DNA test on James Brown II is being done at the request of the trustees handling the late singer's estate. They have questioned Tomi Rae Hynie's claims that she is Brown's widow and that the boy is Brown's son. In the past, Hynie has asked for a DNA test to verify the boy's bloodlines.

Awarded - Janet Jackson was among those honored over the weekend at an awards event for her work in supporting issues of gays and lesbians. She got the Vanguard Award at the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Media Awards. The presentation was held this past Saturday at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles.

Unsealed - Lawyers for The Associated Press and two Chicago newspapers are trying to get hold of sealed court records and transcripts related to the R. Kelly child porn case. The media outlets filed an emergency motion asking to have the records unsealed immediately. The judge handling the case, Vincent Gaughan, said he's trying to prevent information from influencing prospective jurors.

Comeback? - So, how is Whitney Houston doing in her effort to make a comeback? Not so hot, if you go by a review of her recent performance in Tobago. EbonyJet.com reports she had an uneven night at the Plymouth Jazz Festival this past Sunday. The review describes Houston's voice as "flat, hoarse and listless" -- but that she looked great while doing her 30-minute, seven-song set.

Anti-Gay - Authorities in Guyana have banned a Jamaican reggae artist known for his anti-gay lyrics. Guyana's Interior Minister says the artist known as Bounty Killer is no longer welcome because there was gunfire at his April 19th concert. In announcing the ban, the government official says Bounty Killer's lyrics promote violence and celebrate criminal behavior.
