Kiss of a Rose - Afros, dreadlocks, cornrows, huge curls, box braids, tight spirals, Bantu knots, fro-hawks… Each style has their own energy and flow to them. Artistically they spring forth, wrap, spin and intertwine into shapes that define the woman who owns it. These are the traits that have fueled my utter fascination with natural hairstyles to influence and inspire my work over the years. This is my ode to Black women and the art of natural hair.
