Who We Hope to See Perform

Who we're hoping to see at this year's show!

G.O.O.D. Music - Perhaps a part II is in the works? This past summer Kanye's dream team made an impact at the BET Awards performing their smash hit "Mercy" right before Kanye debuted his verse on what would eventually become the Pusha T assisted track "New God Flow." Despite the G.O.O.D. Music compilation album's title, the summer has been far from cruel for the crew and just before the MTV VMA's, the Jay-Z assisted "Clique" dropped from the rap heavens, which begs the question — is there a chance that Kanye, Big Sean and Hova might stop by for a stage-busting performance?     (Photo: Daniel Boczarski/Getty Images for VEVO)

A$AP Rocky and A$AP Mob - With his presence slowly growing on 106 & Park, there's a good possibility that the "Purple Swag" emcee will bring his charisma to the Hip Hop Awards stage. Most recently Rocky and his crew, A$AP Mob, released the free mixtape Lord$ Never Worry, which has been gaining traction with rap taste-makers.    (Photo: Christie Goodwin/Redferns via Getty Images)

Taylor Gang - Despite being relatively quiet this Summer, Wiz Khalifa has much to be happy about: an upcoming marriage, a beautiful fiancée (Amber Rose) and a child on the way. In keeping up with trends it would not surprise us if Khalifa decided to give some more shine to his crew, Taylor Gang, in the same vein as G.O.O.D. Music or Maybach Music Group during BET Awards 2012.(Photo: Rob Carr/Getty Images)

B.O.B. - One of Atlanta's shining stars, B.O.B. has captured the attention of pop fans everywhere. However, his most recent single with Nicki Minaj, "Out of my Mind," is a welcome return and reminder of both artists' hip hop roots, with each of them delivering clever shock raps. "Heaven" - Nas closed out his sixth album, God's Son, in 2002 with this spiritual prose, asking would you put your life of sin away if you knew for a fact God was watching? Nas questioned a lot more about life on this track, as he was watching his mother die of cancer. It may have just been a little too real to share those visual memories with the world.(Photo: Noel Vasquez/Getty Images)

Nas - The Don returns! Having performed at the 2008 Hip Hop Awards, Nas would be a welcome addition to this year's show given the success of his most recent album, Life Is Good. (Photo: Noel Vasquez/Getty Images)

French Montana - Having participated in last year's cypher and drawing praise for his singles "Shot Caller" and "Pop That," it would seem fitting for the Bad Boy signee to bless the show with a set. (Photo: Ilya S. Savenok/Getty Images)

Follow the Leaders: Fat Joe - It takes a lot of skill to be in the rap game for a few years, but to be in it for almost two decades says a lot about a person and their ability, so it's no wonder that Fat Joe is still cranking out hits. The South Bronx native that's always proudly repped his hood and his culture will be taking the stage at this year's BET Hip Hop Awards. He may perform some classics, or he may opt to perform some cuts off of his upcoming album, either way tune in on October 9 at 8P/7C to see why jealous ones still envy Fat Joe. Fat Joe - Will Fat Joe bring "Pride and Joy" to the BET Hip Hop Awards stage? Could a team-up with Chris Brown (who participated in last years Cypher) for "Another Round" be in the works? (Photo: Scott Gries/Getty Images)

Azealia Banks - Azealia Banks barely has her foot in the door, but the Harlem MC says she may not stick around much longer. "I’d eventually like to stop rapping," she said in 2013. "That’s just the honest truth. One day I don’t want to rap anymore. Just because I think it's easy, but I think it’s kind of tacky. I think it’s very unladylike. I like it. But I think I’m going to get tired of it."With the recent release of her critically acclaimed debut, Broke With Expensive Taste, she'll be around for a minute, at least. (Photo: Jim Dyson/Redferns via Getty Images)

Azealia Banks - Despite her penchant for starting Twitter arguments, Azealia Banks has cultivated quite a name for herself among the fashion crowd and the downtown scene. With cover nods on magazines such as Vibe and Spin, gracing the Hip Hop Awards stage might not be far-fetched. (Photo: Jim Dyson/Redferns via Getty Images)

Best Live Performer: Kendrick Lamar - To see Kendrick Lamar perform is to grasp a spellbinding look at hip hop’s future. Through elite talent, a seasoned stage presence well beyond his years and a genuine connection with his diverse fan base, K. Dot leaves no doubt as to why he commands the respect of his peers and supporters alike. (Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images for Coachella)

Kendrick Lamar - The last two years have been an amazing time for the West Coast emcee. With co-signs from virtually every veteran Cali emcee, an appearance in last year's Cypher and a highly acclaimed indie album, Section .80, Kendrick Lamar is quickly being steered on the path of hip hop greatness. Currently he is on tour for BET's Music Matters showcase and introducing his brand of rap to a new generation. (Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images for Coachella)

Meek Mill - Sure Meek Mill rocked out at BET Awards 2012, but is there a chance that Meek Millie will hit the stage assisted by Drizzy Drake for the track "Amen"? (Photo: Johnny Nunez/WireImage)
