Armed Forces

The U.S. Armed Forces is a special group of men and women who serve the country on active duty.  The branches consist of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, as well as the Air National Guard and Army National Guard.  As a unit and separately, these divisions have protected the United States and other nations for over a century.  At the 2010 BET Awards, the Armed Forces as a group were Shining Light Recipient honorees.
