Derrick “Capone” Lee, a Bronx native, is both a respected comedian and a successful entrepreneur. His journey was a hard one after he received a nine-month prison sentence in 1991, but he saw this as the wake-up call he needed. Using his second chance wisely, Capone left the street life and became a home attendant for the mentally challenged. It was at his second job as a barber that he honed in on his skills as a comedian. Since then, he has performed with comedy greats including Mike Epps, Tracey Morgan and Talent. Today, Capone is the CEO of D.D.L. Enterprises and teaches the business of comedy, at no charge. He also has performed at several comedy clubs and gone on a number of national tours. (Photo: Scott Eells/Getty Images)
