Angela Bassett Calls Second Wax Figure ‘Absolutely Wonderful’
Acting legend Angela Bassett had a close-up with her second Madame Tussauds wax figure at the company’s Orlando museum.
The moment came nearly four years after Bassett was introduced to her first Tussauds statue at the museum’s Los Angeles location. For Bassett’s second figure, she’s dressed in a black and gold jumpsuit while strutting a pose similar to the first statue. The outfit was worn by Bassett when she attended ‘The Book of Clarence’ premiere last January.
“They got it right, it’s just beautiful,” Bassett said in press materials. “To have a career that has brought me two wax figures at Madame Tussauds is kind of humbling.”
The ‘Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning’ star also filmed an Instagram reel beside the figure, calling it “twice as exciting.” “And I’m twice as grateful,” Bassett continued. “This is absolutely wonderful.”
Bassett continued detailing how she and the team chose the figure’s “beautiful” features, which the actress was “hands-on” with, according to Paul Gould.
“That level of involvement always makes the figure even more lifelike and personal and we can't wait for guests to experience Angela’s vision of how she wanted to be represented,” Gould continued.
