Kurtis Blow Is Praising The Police For Saving His Life Last Night

He says in this day and age, people need to hear his story.

Last night veteran rapper Kurtis Blow gave his friends, family and fans quite the scare (November 4).

As reported, Blow collapsed in front of a group of police officers in Woodland Hills, who were on the scene responding to a call that initially was reported as a robbery, but was in fact an argument between the rapper and his son.

Kurtis Blow, born Kurtis Walker, was speaking to the police when he reportedly collapsed in front of them, clearly in need of medical assistance.

While the 57-year-old is praising the three responding officers, Chris VegeCalvin Hill and Pete Parra, for saving his life, the cops are taking the humble route, saying that their training and instincts simply kicked in.

"The police saved my life, a Black man," Walker said in a statement. "In this day and age, people need to hear that!"

According to the reports, the officers performed CPR on the rapper and were able to temporarily revive and care for him until paramedics arrived and rushed him to the hospital.

"They got there so fast. If they got there any later, I would have died," Walker added. "I want to thank the officers from the bottom of my heart, no pun intended."
