All of the Times Lil Wayne Spoke Out Against Racism
The world at large was shocked yet again when Lil Wayne distanced himself from the Black Lives Matter movement during an interview with Nightline that aired yesterday (November 1). It was a sobering moment for many, despite Wayne's claims back in September that he's never dealt with racism. But hold up, that wasn't always Dwayne Carter's stance. We have some receipts. Check out the times Lil Wayne DID speak out against racism.
The Song 'My Heart Races On'
On his 2015 Free Weezy cut "My Heart Races On," Wayne certainly knew what racism was: "Oh Lord, what are we running from? / The police, cause they already killed enough of us / Stay out them streets cause they don’t f**k with us / They hunting us / We in a race against racists, that’s a color run"
Inadvertently donating to Black Lives Matter via TIDAL
When Lil Wayne aligned with TIDAL in 2015 — even performing at the TIDAL X show in October — he must not have realized TIDAL donated $1.5 million to Black Lives Matter since, you know, he doesn't even know what that is. Well, thanks for the contribution regardless.
August 2016: He Chants 'Black Lives Matter' at Weezyana

The Song 'Georgia...Bush'
Weezy got hyper political on this Dedication 2 track surrounding George W. Bush and Hurricane Katrina. It certainly hit close to the New Orleans native's home and he had plenty to say about the overt racism surrounding the devastation: "Then they telling y'all lies on the news / The white people smiling like everything cool / But I know people that died in that pool / I know people that died in them schools"
When Wayne Spoke Out Against Donald Sterling's Racist Comments
Remember this video where Wayne says "F**k You" to Donald Sterling and advises that if he were a Clippers fan he would no longer be one and if he were a current Clippers player he wouldn't play? Hmmm.
The Song 'Tie My Hands'
Wayne extends the Hurricane Katrina racism sentiment on this track off Tha Carter III: "They tryna tell me keep my eyes open / My whole city underwater, some people still floating / And they wonder why Black people still voting / Cause your president still choking."

On Outkast's 'Hollywood Divorce'
The Song 'God Bless Amerika'
This one speaks to the prison system: "Used to say f**k the police, now I say f**k jail / Same s**t, different air freshener."
The Song 'Dreams and Nightmares'
Wait, remember when Wayne said he should've been in N.W.A? "Ain't tall enough for the NBA / I ain't big enough for the NFL / Should've been in N.W.A / F**k the police, Five-0 and Twelve."

The Song 'F**k tha World'
See? Even on his solo debut album, Tha Block Is Hot, Wayne was a little #woke: "And police got me under surveillance when and wherever / Wrecking they brains, tryna' figure where I'm gettin' that cheddar."
