Tia Mowry Says There’s No Rift Between Her and Sister Tamera
Tia Mowry is setting the record straight regarding her relationship with sister Tamera Mowry-Housley.
In a recent conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the actress addressed long-running speculation that the twins have grown apart, pushing back on rumors of tension and making it clear that there’s no feud behind the scenes, but just life happening.
“There’s this idea that there was some big rift,” Tia explained. “And that just wasn’t true.”
The “Sister, Sister" alum shared that the perception primarily comes from fans being accustomed to seeing the twins move as a unit for most of their lives and careers.
As they’ve gotten older, their paths have naturally evolved — something she says is often misread as a lack of distance.
“We’ve all grown up,” she said.
“We have our own families now. Of course there’s space. Everyone is doing their own thing. But when something matters, you make the time.”
According to “The Game” alum, maintaining their bond has always been a priority, even if it looks different than it once did.
Rather than constant proximity, the sisters focus on intention and consistency.
She revealed that she and Tamera made a simple agreement to stay connected, no matter how busy life gets. “We made a pact to check in once a week,” she shared, noting that Sundays are their designated time to reconnect.
“As long as we’re making time for each other,” she said, “that’s what really matters.”
