Janet Jackson Honors Young People During Tour

During Janet Jackson's Number Ones: Up Close and Personal tour, she makes time to honor young people doing extraordinary things in their communities.

Janet is currently on her largest-ever world tour, celebrating her 35 No. 1 hits in 35 international cities.
In each of the cities, Janet recognizes up to 20 young people under 20 years old who are working to enrich their communities in a major way.
“I remember my parents instilling in me how important it is to give back,” Janet says of her youth. Janet was inspired by how her brother Michael Jackson would drive around and look for homeless people to give dinners to.
Janet continues to donate to a number of charitable causes and is often recognized for her efforts to support youth and HIV/AIDS initiatives.
Leanna, one of the "20 Under 20" honorees, became a CEO of her own health and body care company at the age of seven, and currently runs a foundation through which she's helped feed 120 kids in Haiti three meals a day since 2008.
“There are many young people changing the world and I want them to be recognized during my tour," Janet explained. "I want to learn from them how they are changing the world. I just want to support them in anyway I can.”
