Yelawolf Premieres New Joint, "Hard White"

Alabama born rapper Yelawolf stops by "106 & Park" to debut his hot new joint, "Hard White (Up In The Club)," featuring Lil Jon.

Rapper Yelawolf will stop by 106 & Park today, Friday, October 7, to debut his new joint, "Hard White (Up in the Club)," featuring Lil Jon. Yela will also help judge the Freestyle Friday rap battle.
Yelawolf, who hails from Gadsden, Alabama, recently went on VladTV to discuss the "embarrassing" actions of other white rappers.
"I'm from the South. That s**t don't fly," said Yela. "And in Alabama, put it this way, there are grandparents alive today whose parents went through a war. We're just out of the slave trade. It's a very real situation. You don't take that shit lightly, especially hip hop and American music culture is Black culture. Don't ever get it f**ked up. Know your roots, know where the f**k you're getting this music from and respect it. And don't embarass white people and white rappers by doing that dumb s**t, by dropping the N-bomb and thinking you're all cool and s**t. You're going to find yourself slapped up and it might be by a white boy. Because you ain't gonna embarrass me around my people like that."
The rapper goes on to explain that despite those that try to downplay the gravity of the term in our current times, the word is still very powerful and should be avoided out of respect.
"As a white rapper, it's always been a big no-no, but as a human being, it's been an even bigger no-no," he said. Well said!
Tune into 106 & Park today, Friday, October 7, at 6P/5C to watch Yelawolf debut his new joint, "Hard White (Up in the Club)" and help judge the Freestyle Friday rap battle.
