Mississippi Damned is directed by, Tina Mabry, her first feature film. The synopsis:\r
A bitterly honest, stark tale of a young woman’s survival over the powerful generational forces of poverty, violence, sexual abuse and family secrets. The film is an autobiographical saga set in the rural town of Tupelo, Mississippi, spanning the years between 1986 and 1998."\r
The movie airs this month on Showtime and on the flagship channel on Tuesday, February 22 at 8:00 PM ET/PT.  In addition, the DVD is available at the film's website www.mississippidamned.com.\r
