Nick Gordon to Dr. Phil: 'Please Don't Put This on TV'
Nick Gordon's appearance on Dr. Phil was every bit as disturbing as expected. Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend sobbed, got angry and admitted to being high during the hour-long sit down. Gordon, who reportedly checked into rehab at Willingway Treatment Center in Georgia after the interview taped, was a no-show for the first half of the interview, with his mother, Michelle Gordon, speaking to Phil McGraw alone at first.
"Nicholas is at a breaking point. He cannot take too much more of not being able to see Krissy," Gordon's mother said to the TV psychologist. Later Gordon, who admitted to drinking shots of alcohol before the interview, appeared distraught and out of sorts. While in the elevator with Dr. Phil, he had the first of several breakdowns, saying, "Please don't put me on TV," because he didn't want people to see him crying and appear "weak."
"My pain is horrible, my heart hurts, I have panic attacks," he said before saying his "kidneys hurt so bad" from heavy drinking.
Gordon, who blurted out that he hates Bobby Brown, said, "I want to let all you guys know I did everything in the world possible to protect [Bobbi Kristina and Whitney Houston]."
Gordon is still under investigation for his girlfriend's hospitalization, with Bobby Brown's sister Leolah Brown claiming there was "foul play" involved. Kristina, the 22-year-old music scion, remains on life support at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
