Empire's breakout star Taraji P. Henson may be taking Cookie Lyon to the stage as she is set to make her Saturday Night Live hosting debut on April 11, reports Time.

The Oscar-nominated actress has been riding high since the hit drama began, garnering a dedicated fan base who love her performance on the show. Henson's Empire son, Jussie Smollet, congratulated her on Instagram, posting a screen-shot of an article with the news along with the caption, "@tarajiphenson you deserve all of this so much."

Mumford & Sons will serve as the night's musical guest for the second time.

Empire has become the clear breakout series of the season with its ratings steadily rising with each episode. Its season finale set a new record, scoring an average of 16.7 million viewers, making it the highest-rated freshman season finale in nearly a decade.
