It breaks our hearts to report rapper Tame One from the Artifacts has passed away, according to Stereogum.

Tame One, born Rahem Brown, was also Redman's cousin. Before rap, he was also a graffiti artist ini New Jersey. In 1994, on Atlantic's Big Beat imprint, Artifacts released their debut album Between A Rock And A Hard Place, which eventually became a cult classic.

The rapper’s peers took to social media to remember the rapper, including Rah Digga, who posted a photo of the late rapper with a caption saying, “I usually don’t race to the internet to post news like this when I’m in the middle of feeling it…but we gonna give this Jersey legend his muthaf***** flowers!! Hold your head @el_da_sensei ,”

The rapper was 52.

His cause of death is unknown at this time.
