Tamar Braxton Went TF Off On Her Sisters On Instagram Live Over A Disappointing Birthday Celebration
Despite all the birthday wishes that fans, friends and family stretched out to Tamar Braxton on March 17, the R&B diva unfortunately didn’t have much of a happy birthday at all, according to her Instagram Live.
The youngest Braxton sister posted up on social media to show her lack of enthusiasm for her 42nd birthday, which was brought on by what she felt was a lack of acknowledgment, attention and generosity from her family. Throughout moments of the live session, Tamar flares up on her sisters for receiving a measly one pair of glasses as a birthday gift, especially considering how gratuitous she is in gift-giving during the holiday season. In comparison to the other sisters’ birthdays, Tamar also felt shorted by their scant attempts at celebrating. “I just feel like everybody else’s birthday we make a big deal out of,” she said. “It’s at least a balloon, one balloon, an array of gifts, one card, and 40,000 Braxtons walking around here like, ‘Where’s Waldo?’—and because it’s [my birthday], I got a pair of glasses and a birthday card. Happy birthday, b**ch! OK.”
But even after one of the Braxtons insists that the day isn’t over yet, nor were the birthday festivities, the Love and War songstress apparently couldn’t hold back anymore.
‘I give out Gucci bags for Christmas!' Tamar said while voicing her contempt for only receiving one pair of sunglasses between six of her family members…
“I’m just saying, 'What the f**k is going on?' Like, this is not a birthday celebration for me! This is some straight foul f**k bullsh** that nobody put no thought into!”
Tamar didn’t feel the attention from her own family and sister either, she voiced, especially given her (now reconciled) split from her boyfriend. Still, her sisters assured her that the day wasn’t over, to which she sarcastically replied, “Oh!” and retreats back down in the dumps.

But not only is she afraid of heights, she said in her rejection of the plans, floating on a hot air balloon with seven people wasn’t necessarily her idea of a good time. One of the sisters attempts to brighten the mood afterward, acknowledging that everyone should still be happy for the family coming together. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that Tamar wants to hear any of it, though.
Suddenly, another moment sprung up that would have been a means for celebration – just not on Tamar’s birthday ...
—a marriage proposal, courtesy of her sister Trina Braxton’s now-fiancé, Von Scales. Tamar went into the comments of her Instagram Live session confirming the proposal, typing “this is not the time nor place for this…he finna ask her to marry [him] on my birthday celebration…fabulous.”
Unfortunately, things didn’t appear to get any better for the birthday girl afterward. But we’re at least glad to know she and her new beau have worked things out!
