Cardi B Announces Sophomore Album After Seven-Year Wait
After seven years and a few singles dropped in-between, Cardi B has *finally* announced her sophomore album due date.
In a recent tweet, the mother of 3 teased the news with a video featuring her in a black dress posing in different areas with crows surrounding her.
She promises to “give them h*ll” in the teaser announcement.
“Seven years and the time has come,” she declares at the start of the visual.
“Seven years of love, light, and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now, I give them h*ll. I learned power is not given, it’s taken. I’m shedding feathers and no more tears. I’m not back, I’m beyond.”
She ends the clip, saying she has an announcement to make.
The Grammy-award winner shared in an Instagram post the name of the album, “Am I The Drama,” and revealed the release date for the project is set for September 19th.
This comes off the heels of her debut album, “Invasion Of Privacy,” earning the New York native a win for ‘Best Rap Album’ at the 61st Grammy Awards. The album continued to reach success, becoming quadruple platinum.
The album featured guest appearances from Migos, Chance The Rapper, Kehlani, 21 Savage, YG, Bad Bunny, J. Balvin, and SZA.
