While Tiger Woods has remained out of sight, his wife Elin Nordegren has been stepping out in recent days in the Orlando, Fla., area with their two children, Sam and Charlie, PEOPLE magazine reports.

Elin's daily decisions rest on what is good for her and the children," a source told PEOPLE.

After returning from a European skiing trip over the holidays, she has been taking turns with a nanny shuttling Sam, 2, to a private school in Windermere, according to the magazine.

Then on Friday, Nordegren – bundled up against the unusually cold temperatures in Florida – stopped by the Tiger Woods promotional office in Windermere Village for about 15 minutes, bringing along Sam and Charlie, 11 months.

Elin was nice and friendly and said hello to people," a source in a neighboring office told PEOPLE. "She looked fine.

Another source saw Elin and Charlie the same day enter a building in a shopping complex that looked like a school activities club filled with boxes and toys. "Elin was there for a good hour and a half," the source said.

Woods, meanwhile, has yet to be seen in public since the sex scandal broke and has suspended his professional golf career.
