Kobe Bryant's parents aren't going to appreciate this.

In a "Letter to My Younger Self" posted on The Players Tribune on Wednesday, the recently retired NBA legend sounded like he would go back and change the way he handled his parents if he could. Or better yet... the way they handled him as a 17-year-old being drafted into the league back in 1996.

"The most important advice I can give to you is to make sure your parents remain PARENTS and not managers," Bryant wrote in part of the letter. "Before you sign that first contract, figure out the right budget for your parents — one that will allow them to live beautifully while also growing your business and setting people up for long-term success. That way, your children’s kids and their kids will be able to invest in their own futures when the time comes."

Oof.

The Black Mamba hasn't exactly held his venomous tongue when talking about his lack of communication with his mom and dad. In fact, this past April, Kobe revealed he hasn't spoken to his parents in nearly three years.

Damn.

At the time he disclosed that he last spoke with his mom and dad back in 2013, before his parents auctioned off some of his Lower Merion High School memorabilia without asking him first.

With time, we seriously hope that Kobe and his parents are able to see eye to eye and have a loving relationship. Especially considering that Kobe is about to become a daddy for a third time.
