Megan Thee Stallion was hospitalized in New York City after falling ill during a performance of Moulin Rouge! The Musical and exiting the show mid-performance on Tuesday, March 31, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Her representative Didier Morais confirmed the hospitalization in a statement: “During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated. We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”
No additional details about the nature of her illness have been disclosed.
The production at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in Manhattan was halted mid-show after Megan exited the stage. An understudy completed the performance.
Audience members described the show being stopped with theater officials apologizing to the crowd and asking them to remain seated, per Complex.
The news hit social media fast. Megan’s hairstylist and close friend Kellon Deryck was among the first to alert fans, posting on X: “Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital.”
