Doja Cat brings playful Janet and Whitney vibes, Teyana Taylor delivers a cinematic visual album, and Mariah The Scientist serves a 10-song project full of drama and emotion.

It’s a week full of new music you don’t want to miss. Doja Cat teases a new vibe with “Jealous Type.” Teyana Taylor turns her story into a visual experience with Escape Room. And Mariah The Scientist delivers her highly anticipated 10-song album HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY, serving drama and emotion in every song. Let’s get into it.

  • Jealous Type - Doja Cat (Single)

Doja Cat is back with “Jealous Type,” produced by Jack Antonoff and Y2K. She first teased the track in her Summer '25 campaign with Marc Jacobs. “Jealous Type” will appear on her highly anticipated fifth studio album, Vie, dropping September 26th. Think Janet's 'Pleasure Principle' era meets the pure joy of Whitney Houston’s 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody'.

  • Cam Girl - LUDMILLA featuring Victoria Monét (Single)

Ludmilla and Victoria Monét team up for “CAM GIRL,” a bilingual collab that pushes summer into overdrive. The track plays with themes of sensuality, self-expression, and the way the digital era shapes desire. Ludmilla brings the pulse of Brazilian funk while Monét layers in R&B richness, creating a cross-cultural moment only two GRAMMY winners could deliver.

  • I Can't Lie - Bun B featuring Monaleo & Scotty ATL (Single)

Houston rap legend Bun B drops "I Can’t Lie," linking with Scotty ATL and Houston’s own Monaleo. Produced by Cory Mo and Ray Murray, the track will live on Bun’s upcoming album Way Mo Trill. It’s a slow-rolling cut that bridges three generations of Southern hip-hop—Bun reflecting on family and perseverance, Scotty ATL carrying the hook, and Monaleo closing with a verse that cements her rise as one of Houston’s brightest new stars.

  • fmyx - Karri (Single)

"fmyx" lets Karri show both his playful and vulnerable sides as he preps his upcoming EP. With over 13 million streams on “3 AM in Oakland,” collaborations alongside Isaiah Falls, Goapele, Joe Soulection, and Jack Dine, plus early co-signs from Drake and Lil Baby — not to mention a recent Billboard R&B Rookie of the Month nod — he's one to watch!

  • Magic - OMB Peezy (Single)

OMB Peezy taps into Destiny’s Child nostalgia on his new single “Magic,” flipping their classic “Cater 2 U” into something of his own. Instead of a straight love song, Peezy wrestles with the pull between his girl and the streets, laying it out in a melodic rap song.

  • Samurai DX - Lupe Fiasco (Album)

Lupe Fiasco is rolling out Samurai DX, the deluxe edition of his acclaimed 2024 album Samurai. The expansion adds two new songs from the original sessions: the self-produced single “SOS” and “High Note,” produced by longtime collaborator Soundtrakk. Fan favorites “Samurai,” “Palaces,” and “Bigfoot” also get reimagined with remixes featuring vocals from Troy Taylor, adding new textures without losing the spirit of the originals. The second half of the project — Side B on vinyl — offers instrumental versions of all five additions.

  • KIARI - Offset (Album)

Offset keeps his momentum going with KIARI, an 18-song set stacked with features from NBA YoungBoy, YFN Lucci, Gunna, JID, Key Glock, and more. The project shows range, weaving a theme through different moods, sharp samples, and polished production. It’s a strong statement for Offset on his own — though a link-up with Quavo would’ve made it even more special.

  • I Hope You're Happy - BigXthaPlug (Album)

BigXthaPlug did his big one with this project. Staying true to his Texas roots, every song pairs him with a country artist in duets built around country music and heartache. Collaborators include Darius Rucker, Jelly Roll, Bailey Zimmerman, Ella Langley, Luke Combs, Shaboozey, Tucker Wetmore, and Thomas Rhett.

  • HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY - Mariah The Scientist (Album)

Mariah The Scientist is about to give fans exactly what they’ve been waiting for with HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY. The 10-song project keeps it mostly solo, with just one feature from Ms. Kali Uchis. Everyone’s already wondering what kind of tea she is about to spill with this release.
